Project Managers, Team Members and Executives Leverage Project Connect Online
Project Connect Online provides outstanding functionality for Project Managers, Team Members and Executives.
Project Managers:
Project Managers access Project Connect Online via Project Web Access (PWA) or Project Professional 2010. They can use Project Professional running locally on their PC or running in a hosted Remote Desktop environment (for an additional monthly charge).
Project Managers can:
- Create new projects and save them to their Project Server
- Add others in the organization to their project teams
- Publish a project so the users on that project team can view the project in PWA
- Assign tasks to users (or other resources)
- Configure email alerts to notify them when other users have updated tasks or status reports
- Approve task progress updates and status reports
- Approve project proposals and convert them into full projects
- Create “stoplight” view dashboard reports in PWA
- Perform all of the functions of a Team Member or Executive
Team Members and Executives:
Team Members and Executives access Project Connect Online via PWA or Outlook. They can:
- View their assigned tasks and report on progress
- Manage their email alerts about new or changed tasks
- Download the Outlook add-in for PWA to see tasks as Outlook appointments or tasks
- Upload documents and associate them with a project or an individual task
- View, create and collaborate on issues, risks, and milestones for a project or task
- Create proposals, activities, and status reports
